Recipe Time

Hello my dog friends and my dog loving friends,

The weather here has been cool, I'm actually back to wearing t-shirts and at night I wish mom would put my flannel pjs on. But, with it being cool outside I'm hoping she gets the urge to bake for me and the boy ( who really wants an angel food cake). So, I thought I would share another treat recipe and hope she gets the hint since I know she has all the ingredients in the house. So here goes it..my treat recipe for all of you...

Gourmet Dog Biscuits

12-16 ounces raw liver
1 1/2 lb White flour
8 oz Quaker Oats
3 Bouillon cubes, meat or chicken flavored
1 c Water- approx.
2 Eggs, beaten

Preheat oven to 350.
Grease 3 cookie sheets.
Chop the liver finely, or put briefly in a blender. Mix flour and oats, crumble in the bouillon cubes, add eggs and the chopped liver. Add enough water to make a firm but slightly sticky dough. Spread evenly on the cookie sheets, about 1/2" thick.
Dip a small dog-cookie cutter in flour before cutting out each portion.
Bake 1 hour. Can be kept for about 2 weeks. Store in refrigerator.

Siesta time!!!

HAHAHA!!! I'm sneaking back on the computer because no one is using it and I wanted to tell you about the weirdo puppy! She is teething and it is too funny, she lays in the sun and eats freezer pops and then when they melt too quick she whines about it. It is enough to frazzle my nerves, but at least the weather is nice and we can play outside, if only she would play outside and not whine everytime mom moves 2 feet away.

The big excitement of my weekend was I got to get dressed and had my hair done to go to the bank. It was cool they ooohhhed and aaahhhed over me and I got to have a milk bone. Thankfully mom knows I hate them things and she just slipped it in her pocket.

Today the boy child has a baseball game and I don't think Im allowed to go there so I will be in charge of home security at that point.

Well have a good day my siesta in the sun time is here and Im off to relax.

Current Events

Hello again,

Today let's talk about current events. My life consists of nothing but sleeping and watching tv. Probably because I'm a dog. So, I have been listening to things while laying around...like mom working on making money using her computer. Seems like she is working hard and not making as much as you would think but something is better than nothing. The news has some crazy stories..like the mom who wasn't happy with the 6 kids she had she had to go ahead and have 8 more. The plane crash in Buffalo over night and was sad and some of the interviews made mommy cry. Sad what the families have to go thru now. Tomorrow I get to go to the groomers so I will have to have mommy post a pic when Im done. I look kinda scraggly today, but I will be beautiful for Valentines Day.

Well now you know what I have been up too. I'm adding a recipe for you to make for your favorite dog for Valentines day. If you make it for them come back and tell me how your dog liked it. They are yummy.

Tuna Fudge Training Dog Treats
This is a wonderful training treat for dogs. It has the consistency of fudge so you can break off different sized pieces and the dogs can eat them quickly without a mess. It is also "smelly" so your dog can anticipate the treat! You must store it in the refrigerator or freezer.

25 min 5 min prep
1 pan
2 (6 ounce) cans tuna (do not drain)
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
Mix all ingredients with an electric mixer until well blended.
Spread mixture into a greased 9x9 cake pan.
Bake covered at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
Store in refrigerator or freeze.

Have a Happy Friday and remember to wear red to today to support our miltary !!
